Syracuse gave up 20 goals on Saturday in its loss, tied for second-most ever allowed in program history.

Syracuse (8-7, 0-5 Atlantic Coast) dropped three spots to No. 19 in Inside Lacrosse’s newest poll. The drop comes after the Orange suffered its most lopsided loss of the season, a 20-11 defeat to No. 5 North Carolina.

With two games left in the season, the Orange is still without a conference win and has two chances remaining. First up is No. 2 Boston College, which has yet to lose a game this season, and then-unranked Louisville, which is also without an ACC win.

The Orange’s offensive struggles once again shone through against the Tar Heels on Saturday as Nicole Levy was taken completely out of the game and, despite four goals from top-offensive weapon Emily Hawryschuk, SU crumbled.

Stony Brook remained atop the poll for the eighth-straight week, followed by BC, who SU plays Thursday, and Maryland, who destroyed the Orange, 18-11, earlier in the season.
