The Final Word: Syracuse rides 2nd-half surge to beat Georgetown

Syracuse (7-2) defeated Georgetown, (7-2), 72-71, on Saturday afternoon in the Carrier Dome. After trailing at halftime, the Orange stormed back to beat a former Big East rival. Tyus Battle scored a game-high 26 points while Elijah Hughes and Oshae Brissett added 15 and 12 points, respectively. Jalen Carey also helped the Orange when Frank Howard fouled out. Battle connected on a jumper with 2.5 seconds left in the game to give SU the victory.
