For a second straight year, Syracuse avoided a scare against Western Michigan. Like 2018, the game was a high-scoring affair. While Syracuse’s secondary weathered injuries, it held its own to give the Orange a point cushion. And first-year starter Tommy DeVito had his best overall game at SU with 287 yards and four passing touchdowns.
