Syracuse's final drive came up short as the Orange ran out of time to mount a 16-point comeback.

RALEIGH, N.C. — The Orange entered Thursday night’s game off two-straight wins and a bye week, with their offense appearing to find its form. Yet against North Carolina State on Thursday night, Syracuse was shut out in the first half, Tommy DeVito was sacked five times and the Orange didn’t score a touchdown until the game’s final minutes. N.C. State (4-2, 1-1 Atlantic Coast) defeated SU (3-3, 0-2), 16-10, giving the Orange as many losses in 2019 as they had in all of 2018.
