Joe Girard III finished the game with 12 points, third on the team behind Hughes (19) and Boeheim (22).
In the Carrier Dome on Wednesday night, Syracuse (10-7, 3-3 Atlantic Coast) defeated Boston College (9-8, 3-3) by 26 points. Buddy Boeheim led the Orange with 22 points and scored more points in the first half (15) than BC did as a team (13).
