Orange After Dark is hosting two Halloween events to celebrate the spooky season this week.

Diwali
Head to the Orange Grove in front of Bowne Hall on the Shaw Quadrangle to celebrate Diwali. Syracuse University’s Festival of Lights is open to everyone, and will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Afterwards, attendees can indulge in cookies and samosas.

Queer faith
As part of LGBTQ+ History Month, Hendricks Chapel and the LGBTQ Resource Center will collaborate to host a discussion on how to navigate the intersection between queer and religious identities. The event will take place in the Noble Room in Hendricks Chapel from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Open Skate
Head down to Tennity Ice Pavilion for a laid-back night of ice skating. Admission and skate rental is free to students. Open skate is open from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursday.

Sandwich Making with SU Catholic
Join the SU Catholic Ministries in making hundreds of sandwiches for food pantries in Syracuse. This event will occur from 8:15 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. on Thursday, and follows their weekly Mass & Dinner at 7 p.m.



OAD Halloween Dance
Orange After Dark is hosting its first Halloween Dance, which will feature “spooky snacks,” a costume contest and of course, a night of dancing. The event, which will be from 9 p.m. to 12 a.m. on Thursday in Schine Underground, is free to attend, and students must present a valid SU ID for admission.

Monster Roller Rave
Wear your best costume, jam out to classic spooky tunes and get in the Halloween spirit at Orange After Dark’s Monster Roller Rave! Roller Rave is free to attend, with food available for a $3 ticket. The event will be held on Saturday at the MAC Court at the Barnes Center from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Beak and Skiff Halloween Bash
Joining in on the Halloween fun, Beak and Skiff will be hosting a Halloween bash at their orchard. The orchard will be opening its doors to anyone 21 or over for a party complete with a DJ, costume contest, a buffet and a specialty cocktail. The event will be on Saturday from 6:30 p.m. until 10:30 p.m.
