Syracuse guard Judah Mintz has been named to the Preseason All-Atlantic Coast Conference second team. The honor comes three days after he was named to the 2024 Bob Cousy watch list, an award given to the top point guard in the country.
In his first season with the Orange, Mintz averaged 16.3 points per game, the second-most on the team behind Joe Girard. Though he initially struggled on 3-pointers, going 2-for-17 to start the season, Mintz worked on his long-range shot over an extended break and showcased his ability through a 4-for-4 game from beyond the arc against Clemson.
After a year that showcased his ability to be the Orange’s top scoring option, Mintz declared for the NBA draft process, while maintaining his college eligibility. He participated in the NBA’s pre-draft combine in May, placing second in the lane agility drill and recording 22 points through two scrimmages. Ultimately, Mintz was projected to go undrafted.
Mintz announced his return to Syracuse on May 31. He earned an All-ACC honorable recognition and was named to the ACC All-Freshman Team last season.
