Ra Ra Riot to perform Nov. 14 at Crouse College
Indie rock band Ra Ra Riot will perform at Setnor Auditorium in Crouse College on Wednesday, Nov. 14 at 8 p.m.
The group, which features Syracuse University graduates, hasn’t played a concert in Syracuse since its sold-out show at the Westcott Theater in the spring of 2011. Quartet Wired Strings, which has played with Adele and Kanye West, will join Ra Ra Riot onstage for most of the show.
Marshall Street Records, Syracuse University Recordings, The College of Visual and Performing Arts and Syracuse University Arts Engage are presenting the homecoming concert. A ticket presale for SU students and staff will begin today at 11 a.m. at the Schine Student Center box office. Tickets cost $10 and ticket sales for the general public begin Thursday.
Ra Ra Riot released its last album, “The Orchard,” in 2010. The group blends new-wave rock with sweeping orchestral arrangements.
The concert will be part of a four-day Ra Ra Riot Residency, where members of the band, management and technical team will be involved with classes at the Setnor School of Music.
