Beat writers predict Syracuse to roll by N.C. State, improve to 25-0

Stephen Bailey: Syracuse 71, North Carolina State 58
Stating the obvious
Syracuse takes care of business at home. The Wolfpack can hang with the Orange for a while, but given the chance to play a more up-tempo style, the Orange offense will thrive in transition. For SU, the only real worry should be the center situation. Pending another clean performance from Rakeem Christmas, the Orange should be 25-0.

David Wilson: Syracuse 72, North Carolina State 59
Running from the Pack
The Wolfpack (read: T.J. Warren) can do things offensively that not a lot of other Atlantic Coast Conference teams can do against the No. 1 Orange, but after SU beat No. 25 Pittsburgh like that it’s hard to imagine a loss coming before the trip to No. 9 Duke. Even if it’s close, Tyler Ennis will make a play, right?

Trevor Hass: Syracuse 75, North Carolina State 60
One-man Wolfpack
Syracuse is all alone in the ACC. T.J. Warren has been the most lethal scorer in the conference this season. He’ll likely get his against SU, but N.C. State doesn’t have enough other weapons to hang. Rakeem Christmas continues to improve inside and become more of a threat to finish, and the Orange rolls to a double-digit win.
