Beat writers predict Duke to take rematch against Syracuse
Trevor Hass: Duke 78, Syracuse 71
Duked
Syracuse doesn’t get the best of the Blue Devils this time. Jabari Parker and Rodney Hood do their thing, and Duke holds off a late SU charge. Duke’s rather difficult to beat at home. The Orange comes close, but when it’s all said and done the Blue Devils even the series at one apiece.

Here we go again
It’ll be another close one, but this time Jabari Parker and Amile Jefferson won’t foul out. The Orange’s first Atlantic Coast Conference trip to Durham, N.C., ends in disappointment, but appreciation for another great basketball game. If the Blue Devils’ shooters are hot again, then Duke should pull out the win.

Da ba dee, da ba di
Syracuse travels to Cameron Indoor Stadium playing its worst basketball of the season, and can’t quite put together a strong enough performance to take the rematch. But for the Orange, getting Baye Moussa Keita healthy and C.J. Fair back on track are far more important than winning a single game, regardless of the hype.
