Syracuse to play Villanova on ESPN3, Louisville on ESPN

The Atlantic Coast Conference announced Tuesday that Syracuse’s Aug. 29 opener against Villanova will kickoff at 7:30 p.m. and be broadcast on ESPN3, and its Oct. 3 home game against Louisville at 7 p.m. on ESPN.

The announcement came in a press release from Atlantic Coast Conference Communications which outlined the early part of the conference’s television schedule.

It also reported that the Dr. Pepper ACC Football Championship, which is scheduled for Dec. 6, will be aired on ESPN or ABC at 7:45 or 8 p.m.

The Orange’s season opener in the Carrier Dome against Villanova on Aug. 29 is the second game of the ACC slate following Wake Forest and Louisiana Monroe on Aug. 28.

Additionally, SU’s hosting of Louisville, the conference’s newest team, is one of three Friday ACC games to be nationally televised.
