Louisiana Tech will visit Syracuse on Dec. 14, the team announced in a release Wednesday afternoon. It will be the first meeting between the teams since the 1988-89 season.

In that game, which was pinned the Carrier Classic, the Orange defeated the Bulldogs 106-98 in overtime. Louisiana Tech finished 29-8 last season and lost in the Conference USA final before going 2-1 in the National Invitation Tournament. Syracuse is coming off a 25-8 season and a loss to Dayton in the Round of 32 of the NCAA Tournament.
