Syracuse to host Long Beach State in Carrier Dome on Dec. 28
Syracuse has added Long Beach State to its nonconference schedule, according to a schedule released by Long Beach State on Tuesday.
There has been no announcement from SU Athletics regarding the game, but the 49ers released their full schedule yesterday with a trip to SU slated for Dec. 28. The time for the game has yet to be determined.
Syracuse and Long Beach State have met three times and the Orange has won all of those matchups, most recently an 84-53 win in the Dome on Dec. 6, 2012. The 49ers finished 15-17 last season with an 11-7 record in the Big West.
Long Beach State will play a rigorous non-conference schedule in 2014–15, with games against Xavier, UCLA, Brigham Young, Kansas State, Louisville and St. John’s joining Syracuse. In late December, the 49ers will play Louisville, SU and St. John’s in an eight-day stretch.
