The Syracuse football program is under investigation, according to a report by The Post-Standard on Thursday afternoon.

An NCAA investigation into the SU basketball team also involves the football team, according to the report. A previous report by The Post-Standard revealed that SU officials had been invited to a NCAA hearing at the end of the month.

Former Orange head football coach Doug Marrone (2009-12) was not invited, according to The Post-Standard. No other invitees are publicly known at this time.

Any ruling on alleged violations or ensuing sanctions will follow the hearing, and The Post-Standard said that the Syracuse football program could be subject to penalties.
